NIGERIA SHOULD NOT BE USED BY THE IMPERIALISTS TO DESTABILISE GUINEA BISSAU! - (posted 27th Aug. 2015)

1. The Amilcar Cabral Ideological School (ACIS) deplores the recent appointment of Former President Olusegun Obasanjo by the President Buhari presidency as the envoy to interfere in internal affairs of Guinea Bissau.

2. What is ongoing in Guinea Bissau is an internal party struggle in the African Party for the Independence of Guinea Bissau and Cape Verde (PAIGC)  - the party of Amilcar Cabral. What should be noted is that the PAIGC and the masses of the people in Guinea Bissau have been struggling to contain rightwing and anti-people elements within the party through their own specific experience of African model of internal democracy practice. Statement at the Solidarity Lecture to Celebrate PATRICE LUMUMBA and AMILCAR CABRAL, held Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at the Textile House, Lagos-Nigeria

More often, we are confronted with the propaganda on the death of ideology. There can be no meaningful struggle except it is nurtured and propelled by ideological contents. Activism without ideology is emptiness. Those who want ideology sidelined are themselves ideological in their drive to (politically, economically, educationally, socio-culturally and religiously) exploit, oppress and dominate the majority of our people. The quest for alternatives as manifested by the evolvement of the Climate Change Forum, and the Social Fora (World Social Forum, Africa Social Forum, West Africa Social Forum, Nigeria Social Forum, and Eko Social Forum) are driven by the ideology of socialism (i.e. humanism) against global capitalist exploitation, now known as global neo-liberalism.
