On May 20, 2018, Nicolás Maduro was elected constitutional president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela for the 2019-2025 term. In this election, a total of 9,387,449 people turned out to vote, of which 6,248,864 voted for the winning candidate while the remaining three million voted for the other three candidates who run for office.
